Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse returned to the receiving votes category in this week's AP Top 25 men's basketball poll when it was released on Monday.
The Orange (12-2) impressed enough in a convincing 68-56 win over Virginia Tech on Sunday to receive a season-high four points in the poll. Syracuse did not receive any votes last week. The four points placed Syracuse ninth on the receiving votes list.
Michigan State took over the top spot in the poll from Villanova this week, while Duke moved up to No. 2 and is the highest-ranked ACC team.
