Syracuse Basketball: Pearl Washington To Receive Honor At ACC Tournament

The Atlantic Coast Conference will name former Big East and Syracuse star Pearl Washington an ACC Legend at this season’s conference tournament.

Washington, who passed away in April at the age of 52, will receive the honor along with 13 former standout players, as well as the late Jim Valvano, the inspirational N.C. State head coach who guided the Wolfpack on a thrilling run to the 1983 national championship. Valvano died in 1993.

Since 2010, the Atlantic Coast Conference has annually recognized one player from every school that participates in the conference tournament as an ACC Legend.
