Syracuse basketball will arrive in Washington, D.C., on Saturday afternoon for a duel with former Big East Conference rival Georgetown, and the Orange will clash against a Hoyas line-up that is significantly curtailed.
On Friday, word came that junior forward Galen Alexander and freshman forward Myron Gardner are transferring out of the program, according to Syracuse.com and other media reports.
And fewer than two weeks ago, on Dec. 2, Georgetown’s athletics department put out a brief statement, saying that sophomore guard James Akinjo and sophomore forward Josh LeBlanc were no longer with the team.
