The Syracuse basketball team is anticipated to remain on the proverbial March Madness bubble during the upcoming 2019-20 campaign, according to many of the sport’s pundits.
Of course, the Orange has yet to play a game, with the ‘Cuse set to kick things off when it hosts the defending national champions, Virginia, on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Still, it’s reasonable to assume that Syracuse could find itself on the outside looking in, as it pertains to the NCAA tourney. The Orange returns only one starter from 2018-19, and its roster, while deep, is also relatively young. The ‘Cuse offense should fare better, but defense and turnovers are two possible hazards for Syracuse.
