The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team lost to Old Dominion on Saturday and fell to 7-3 on the season. That’s a far cry from where the team was supposed to be as we thought about it in the preseason.
Of course, Syracuse returned five starters from a Sweet 16 team and had more than capable reserves join the team in the make of Jalen Carey and Elijah Hughes. It only made sense that Syracuse would be a force to be reckoned with, returning the tallest team ever in the Ken Pom era while adding talent beyond that.
