Charlottesville, Va. -- When Frank Howard got called for a traveling violation four minutes into Syracuse's game against Virginia, Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim wasn't happy.
When Howard walked a second time on Syracuse's very next possession, Boeheim was furious. In a move usually reserved for one of the team's role players, the SU coach turned and motioned for freshman Howard Washington to go to the scorer's table.
Howard, the junior point guard who was averaging more than 37 minutes per game, headed to the bench.
"You're a junior,'' Boeheim said of Howard's back-to-back miscues. "You're playing 40 minutes a game.
