Louisville, Ky. -- Ray Spalding and Anas Mahmoud had taken over the game.
Syracuse led the Cardinals 65-53 with just over seven minutes remaining in Monday's game at the KFC Yum Center.
Up until that point, the Cardinals had flailed in futility against Syracuse's 2-3 zone defense. Louisville had attempted 16 shots from 3-point range and made just three.
Suddenly, Louisville changed it approach. The Cardinals started going inside, getting the ball to either the 6-10 Spalding or the 7-foot Anas Mahmoud.
The two bigs sparked a 12-2 Louisville run, scoring all 12 of the Cardinals' points during the rally.
