Syracuse basketball probably is most recognized today because of its head coach Jim Boeheim and his legendary 2-3 zone defense. There’s good reason for that as he has never had a losing season in his tenure at Syracuse University and continues to bring out a talented and competitive squad every year.
However, a lot of Syracuse basketball’s deep history of success is not rooted in just Boeheim though; it’s rooted in the players that played here because they wanted to succeed: players like Hakim Warrick.
Syracuse basketball has had numerous stars, but very few have actually left a lasting impact that we will never forget.
