Syracuse basketball has a long storied history of success. All that success has been built off multiple talented athletes who gave it all when they put on an Orange uniform and put the team before themselves.
However, there are those who went above and beyond and were the best of the best and paved the way for those to follow in their footsteps. Those individuals we call legends.
Derrick Coleman is a prime example of a Syracuse legend. During his time at Syracuse he became arguably the best post player to ever play basketball for the Orange while also paving the way for future greats to follow: Hakim Warrick, Rakeem Christmas, Etan Thomas, and so many more.
