Two of Syracuse basketball’s 2019 class members, Joseph Girard III, and Brycen Goodine, participated in the 46th-annual Capital Classic high-school game on Saturday afternoon at Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington, D.C.
Girard and Goodine, a pair of combo guards who will suit up for SU beginning this fall, competed for the U.S. all-stars, who got crushed by the Capital all-stars, 122-83, according to various media reports, as the event didn’t get televised, at least as far as I can tell.
Girard, who tallied 17 points on 5-of-11 shooting from beyond the arc, as well as four assists and three rebounds, captured the MVP for the U.
