Syracuse basketball commit Joseph Girard III continues to add on the hardware to his growing trophy collection. On Wednesday, the New York State Sportswriters Association announced its selection of Girard as the Class B Player of the Year.
The senior at Glens Falls High School in Glens Falls, N.Y., captured this illustrious recognition for the second consecutive year, while also arriving on the Class B all-state first team for the fourth season in a row.
Per the New York State Sportswriters Association’s Web site, the 6-foot-2 combo guard averaged 48.7 points point per contest in his final stanza at Glens Falls High School, and he led the Indians to a Federation championship.
