I love Jim Boeheim. He’s often a bit snarky, and many people view him as a stodgy curmudgeon.
However, in his 40-plus years guiding the Syracuse basketball program, Boeheim has always spoken his mind. He’s direct and upfront.
Sometimes, we may not enjoy what he’s saying, but you can’t fault Boeheim for his brutal honesty. Whether he digs his roster or thinks that his boys are stinking up the joint, there’s never a question, or any confusion, about where Boeheim stands.
To that end, during the ACC’s annual media day on Wednesday, he offered an optimistic assessment of the 2018-19 ‘Cuse group, which commences its regular season in less than two weeks.
