The waiting game is over. Syracuse isn't heading to Dayton, either. Instead the Orange will travel to St. Louis to take on Dayton as the ten seed in the Midwest.
Coming into Selection Sunday, the Syracuse Orange had lost five of its last six games with an overall record of 19-13. Syracuse's RPI was 68, considerably lower than the other teams sitting on the bubble. Nonetheless, Syracuse earned an at-large bid as a No. 10 seed in the Midwest Region. The difference in Syracuse's résumé? The Orange had five wins against the RPI top 50, a SOS of 38 and a 3-1 record on neutral floors (Thanks, Battle 4 Atlantis).
