The Syracuse basketball team is in the thick of conference play in the ACC. While it’s always a challenge based on the talent level, it just got a bit easier with Notre Dame’s Bonzie Colson’s injury.
Notre Dame All-American forward Bonzie Colson suffered a left foot fracture and is expected to miss eight weeks, the school announced Tuesday.
After speaking with a source close to the Irish, Colson could be out for the season.
Colson was one of the main reasons the Irish were projected to do so well. He was living up to the hype through the start of the 2017-18 campaign:
- Second in the conference in scoring (21 points per game)
- Third in the conference in rebounding (10 rebounds per game)
- Also he’s one of only four players in the league averaging a double-double
With no Colson, SU’s chances of winning just increased.
