Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse guard Malachi Richardson's health was still being evaluated by the SU medical staff as the team cleared its locker room following the Orange's 80-67 win over Texas Southern on Sunday at the Carrier Dome.
Richardson fell hard to the floor with 8:48 remaining while fighting with Jose Rodriguez for an offensive rebound. He lay on the floor for about 30 seconds following the fall. He appeared to be trying to gather himself, but did not grab any particular body part or display any obvious signs of injury or intense pain, and went on to play nearly 2 minutes before coming out of the game and heading to the locker room.
