For the second straight season, a Syracuse basketball player wasn’t selected in the NBA Draft.
Not the kind of history the Syracuse basketball team wanted to make at the end of the 2019 NBA Draft.
This marks the first time since 1997-1999, that we’ve witnessed an Orange player not selected in back-to-back drafts. As a matter of fact, the embarrassing statistic has only occurred twice since 1978.
The two likeliest Syracuse prospects to hear their names called were Tyus Battle and Oshae Brissett. Although it’s not a huge surprise neither was selected.
