Syracuse, N.Y. -- The Syracuse basketball team's limited depth took a hit early on against Boston College, when starting forward Matthew Moyer left the game just 5 minutes and 2 seconds in due to a left ankle sprain.
Moyer went up for a rebound alongside center Paschal Chukwu and appeared to land awkwardly. Moyer went to the floor immediately and grimaced visibly as he hobbled off the court. On the SU sideline, trainer Brad Pike appeared to manipulate his ankle and foot briefly before the pair headed to the locker room.
Minutes later, Pike returned to the Syracuse bench without Moyer.
