Pittsburgh, Pa. --The odds of an immediate recovery for Syracuse starting forward Matthew Moyer don't look good, according to Orange head coach Jim Boeheim. His likely absence for the immediate future leaves the Orange with just seven scholarship players available.
Asked whether Moyer might be able to return from a sprained ankle for a critical road game against Georgia Tech next week, Boeheim shook his head.
"No, I don't think so," Boeheim said. "He's be out a while."
Moyer watched Syracuse's 60-55 win over Pittsburgh from the bench, clad in a grey warm-up suit and with his sprained ankle enclosed in a protective boot.
