The NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers, under new head coach John Beilein, have announced the hiring of former Syracuse women’s basketball assistant coach Lindsay Gottlieb as an assistant coach with the pro team.
Gottlieb, most recently the women’s hoops head coach at the University of California for the past eight stanzas, served as an assistant with the Orange from 1999 to 2001, according to a press release issued by the Cavaliers. A native of Scarsdale, N.Y., Gottlieb, while on the Hill, also earned her Master’s degree in philosophy of education, says the Cavs statement.
