This is a season I’ll never forget. I’ve never seen a Syracuse basketball team go through as much as this team had to endure this past season. Of course it all started with the scholarship reductions we knew coming into this year, that didn’t help.
Then this team was thrown a monkey wrench when Taurean Thompson left for an unknown reason. Thus creating a tremendous void in the lineup not only physically, but mentally as well considering the offense he brought to the table.
Of course SU’s issues wouldn’t be over quite yet, with the proverbial cherry on top being Geno Thorpe (grad transfer from USF) who was supposed to provide some punch off the bench.
