The underbelly of college basketball has been exposed over the last several years in the NCAA with scandals popping up left and right.
One of the main scandals that have taken over the college basketball landscape involved money being exchanged between business managers, occasionally apparel makers, and assistant college basketball coaches and athletes’ families to try and lure big-time athletes to some of the biggest college programs in the country.
Former Syracuse basketball player, Tony Bland, who spent the first two years of his collegiate basketball career with the Syracuse basketball squad from 1998 through 2000, was one of the assistants involved.
