Ashburnham, Mass. -- A part of Syracuse's basketball future squared off Sunday afternoon against two Syracuse-area high school prospects who showed they belong in the national basketball recruiting conversation.
Brycen Goodine, a 6-foot-4 combo guard from Massachusetts who plays for St. Andrew's in Rhode Island, scored 24 points and helped lead his team to a 91-81 win over Vermont Academy. Tyler Bertram (Cooperstown) and Symir Torrence (Syracuse) play for Vermont Academy and each had big games for their team. Bertram, a 6-3 shooting guard, made seven 3-pointers and scored 22 points. Torrence, a 6-3 point guard, scored 30.
