Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim returns to the sidelines tonight against North Carolina, his much-anticipated first game leading the Orange since an overtime loss to Wisconsin on Dec. 2.
The NCAA suspended Boeheim nine game for failing to discover, or try hard enough to discover, his director of basketball operations Stan Kissel doing coursework for former player Fab Melo.
Boeheim's return has brought hope to the fanbase of a struggling Syracuse team and added a major layer of intrigue to what was already expected to be the Orange's marquee home game of the season.
The return has already attracted a lot of attention, generating features from Sports Illustrated's Jack McCallum and ESPN's Jay Bilas among other.
