Syracuse basketball center Bourama Sidibe is 'spectacular' in win over Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh -- After Jim Boeheim didn't play Bourama Sidibe in Syracuse's win over Boston College on Wednesday, the coach went to his young freshman center and told him not to worry about it.

"You'll get your opportunity,'' Boeheim said, according to Sidibe.

That opportunity came just three days later.

Sidibe came off the bench to save the day for Syracuse, registering career-highs in both points and assist to lift the Orange to a 60-55 victory over Pittsburgh here at the Petersen Events Center on Saturday.

Sidibe, who has been hobbled by a nagging case of tendinitis in his left knee for most of the season, scored 18 points and hauled in 16 rebounds on a night when every other Syracuse player was struggling.
