Former Syracuse basketball stud Carmelo Anthony isn’t short on cash after making over $100 million in his playing career not including endorsement deals. But this week he earned a fully guaranteed contract from the Portland Trailblazers.
A few weeks ago Melo signed a nonguaranteed deal with the Trailblazers. If he played well enough his contract would become fully guaranteed in January, but he has played so well that Portland decided to reward him early.
Carmelo was named the Western Conference Player of the Week last week after averaging 22 points, just under eight rebounds and nearly three assists per game.
