The wait is finally over. Syracuse basketball fans, you can take a breath.
After recently striking out on several top recruiting targets, the Orange basketball squad has
scored the first commitment for its 2017 class.
Oshae Brissett, a 6-9 forward who attends Athlete Institute Prep in Mono, Ontario, announced on Saturday that he has chosen Syracuse over three other finalists: Memphis, Oregon and Southern California.
He had visited the ‘Cuse campus a couple of times, including last month to experience Orange Madness. Prior to making his decision, the 247Sports Crystal Ball had Syracuse in front at 57 percent, with the USC Trojans coming in second at 29 percent.
