Syracuse Basketball legend Gerry McNamara stood up and clapped. It was just one of those moments you felt was special. A Syracuse Single-Season record had been broken.
Andrew White III, the grad-transfer etched his name in the Syracuse Basketball record books when he hit a three with 8:43 left in the second half against UNC Greensboro. The Syracuse Basketball single-season record holder for threes in a season was Gerry McNamara with 107 in the 2004-2005 season. White not only tied the record with that three, he broke it, and then extended his own to 109.
