The Syracuse basketball team currently has a dozen scholarship players, no seniors on its roster, and a slot for the 2020-21 season already committed to by four-star power forward Woody Newton. The 6-foot-8 Newton, out of Mt. Zion Prep in Lanham, Md., pledged his services to the ‘Cuse a few months ago, which means that, at present, SU doesn’t have another schollie available for its 2020 class.
However, scholarships almost always turn up, due to possible transfers or early entries into the NBA Draft. As such, at least from what I can tell, the Orange coaching staff has of late focused its attention on a handful of 2020 prospects, such as Andre Jackson and Noah Collier.
