During their 2018-19 season opener on Tuesday against Eastern Washington, the Syracuse basketball team picked up the win thanks mostly in part to their defense. In a matchup with the Morehead State Eagles on Saturday, the Orange stepped up their play on offense this time.
The Eagles kept the game competitive inside the Carrier Dome, but Syracuse did what was necessary to get a win and left the building with an 84-70 victory.
All but six of the Orange’s points on Saturday came from their starters as Elijah Hughes, Oshae Brissett, Paschal Chukwu, and Tyus Battle all finished the night in double figures.
