Syracuse, N.Y. -- Nate Solomon will be a spectator at Saturday's lacrosse game between Syracuse and Johns Hopkins, a role he hates but one he admits he deserves.
The Orange attack will sit out under a one-game suspension from the NCAA. That punishment was automatic after he got ejected for cheap-shotting Virginia goalie Alex Rode at the end of the Orange's 12-11 win on Sunday.
Solomon is tied for the team lead in scoring with 10 points. He is expected to be replaced by Bradley Voigt in the starting lineup.
