Growing up, I had one over-riding dream: to become a sportscaster.
That’s a big reason why I attended Syracuse University, where I majored in broadcast journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
While in college, I grew to learn that a career in sports broadcasting wouldn’t happen for me, so I ended up as a newspaper reporter for a long time, and now I own an advertising and marketing company with my twin brother.
Things turned out just fine.
Despite not ultimately going down the broadcast-journalism route, my affinity for play-by-play announcers has never wavered.
