Syracuse’s offensive line officially received reinforcements on Tuesday morning. The Orange announced former South Alabama offensive tackle Ryan Alexander has joined the team as a graduate transfer.
Alexander started 27 games across three seasons for the Jaguars, including all but one at right tackle in 2018. The 6-foot-3, 307-pound lineman led the team with 46 knockdown blocks and finished the season with an 84% assignment grade. Alexander — a Floral Park, New York native — was named an All-Sun Belt honorable mention.
After graduating three starting offensive linemen and some injuries during the spring, Syracuse started two underclassmen at the spring game in April.
