The Syracuse athletic department announced on Thursday that the men's basketball team will face former assistant coach Rob Murphy and Eastern Michigan on Dec. 27 this coming season.
Syracuse has played Eastern Michigan with some regularity since Murphy took over the program in 2011-12, winning all four games by an average of 35.5 points. None of the four games has been closer than 22 points.
The Orange dominated the game between the teams last year, 105-57, one of the most complete performances of the year for Syracuse's inconsistent team.
Eastern Michigan finished 16-17 last season and went 7-11 in the Mid-American Conference.
