As Syracuse closed out its exhibition schedule against “cross-town rival” Le Moyne, it helped restore world order. In the most important news of the day, Jim Boeheim elected to revert to the 2-3 zone and ditched the man-to-man defense. Syracuse still practiced its press for most of the game but defaulted to 2-3 in the half-court as it defeated the Dolphins 97-64.
Andrew White got loose in the first half by going five of six from downtown. He scored 19 points in the first half and helped give Syracuse a 45-36 lead at the break.
White continued his solid play into the second half.
