On “School Day,” which invited local students to attend the matinee (11 a.m.) tipoff, the Syracuse Orange women’s basketball team notched a one-sided 76-30 victory over the Coppin State Eagles.
SU, ranked 19th/20th in the country, has now won two straight to get to 7-3 following a two-game slide to ranked teams. They’re 5-0 at home so far this year.
Coppin State falls to 0-8 (0-7 on the road) following the big loss.
Against Syracuse, the Eagles topped double-digits in just one quarter, the final one. Heading into the fourth, the Orange had outscored Coppin State 61-12.
