Syracuse, N.Y. -- Devin Butler is in the lay-up line for his Boys and Girls Club middle school basketball league when a teammate starts mixing things up, experimenting with moves no 11 or 12-year-old can fathom.
"I'd see him do an in-and-out between his legs, behind his back in a lay-up line," Butler recalled after Wednesday's Syracuse football practice, mimicking the move with an imaginary ball in his hand, "and I'm just like, 'I'm not thinking about that right now. I'm just thinking about going through the lay-up line and lay it up.
