PHOENIX – After attending Arizona Cardinals rookie minicamp as a tryout player, former Syracuse running back Dontae Strickland signed a free-agent contract with the club on Sunday, May 12.
The Cardinals brought 28 tryout players to Phoenix for three days of practice and signed two: Strickland and Wheaton College safety Tyler Sigler.
Strickland rushed for 1,717 yards and 15 touchdowns in 47 career games. He was also a receiving threat out of the backfield, catching 63 passes in his four seasons, the third-most in team history for a player at his position.
