Syracuse, N.Y. -- The men's basketball game at the Carrier Dome Tuesday night was delayed by 15 minutes because of a medical emergency.
A male fan, seated near midcourt across from the team benches, required assistance. Medical personnel rushed to his seat. Chest compressions were administered. Two different stretchers were wheeled to his location.
Two people said to be family members were ushered to the man's seat. After a few minutes, the man was hoisted onto a stretcher and wheeled out of the arena. He appeared to be conscious.
The incident happened just as the game between Syracuse and Northeastern was about to tip off.
