Syracuse, N.Y. -- It was 10 years ago and a bit of a blur, but Antonio Daniels remembers attending Sportscaster U.
Sportscaster U began in 2008 as part of the NBA Players Association's efforts to prepare players for their post-basketball careers. The 3-day program, headed by Syracuse University professor and Voice of the Orange Matt Park, offered current NBA players a taste of the broadcasting business through seminars, presentations and experience in front of the TV cameras.
Daniels, who spent 13 years in the NBA, was part of Sportscaster U's inaugural class.
