Boeheim’s Army, the group of former Syracuse Orange basketball players, saw its run in The Basketball Tournament come to an end as Sideline Cancer won by a final score of 65-48 and advanced to semifinals.
Boeheim’s Army struggled to get going, particularly on the offensive end, throughout the game. Sideline Cancer created separation in the third quarter and never looked back the rest of the way.
Sideline Cancer jumped out to an early 9-2 lead, but Boeheim’s Army went on an 8-1 run to close the quarter as Eric Devendorf connected on a shot, John Gillon scored at the rim, Will Rayman got a bucket to go inside and Andrew White made a jumper.
