Ryan Blackwell's plan for Boeheim's Army: build chemistry, play man defense, 'buy in'

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Boeheim's Army begins its quest for $2 million in the winner-take-all The Basketball Tournament on Sunday.

That's when head coach Ryan Blackwell expects every player on his roster except James Southerland to be in Syracuse for the start of a week-long practice. Southerland will play for Utah in two NBA Summer Leagues and will be unavailable to Boeheim's Army for the first weekend of TBT games.

Boeheim's Army, the Syracuse-centric squad, plays its first game July 8 at 6 p.m. vs. DuBois Dream. The games next weekend will be played at Philadelphia University.
