Ardsley, N.Y. - His athleticism is immediately evident. Jeenathan Williams, a Class of 2018 small forward from Rochester, authored the most spectacular dunks of the Rumble in the Bronx last weekend. He slammed in transition, he slammed off the dribble, he slammed on put-backs.
"Every play," said Albany City Rocks coach Kevan Sheppard, "has a possibility to be a highlight."
That nimble athleticism, plus what Sheppard describes as "a high motor," has allowed Williams to accumulate college basketball offers. The 6-foot-6 rising senior mentioned Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech among his possibilities. He said Syracuse assistant coach Gerry McNamara has occasionally been in touch.
