GREENSBORO, N.C. – Syracuse junior defensive end Alton Robinson was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Lineman of the Week on Monday, Oct. 8 for his performance at Pitt Saturday. Robinson registered a career-high eight tackles, including four for a loss, two sacks and two forced fumbles in the Orange's 44-37 overtime loss to the Panthers.

It's the second time in three weeks Robinson has been selected as the conference's defensive lineman of the week. He also earned the honor following his three-sack game Sept. 22 versus Connecticut.

Robinson's four tackles for loss at Pitt were the most for an Orange defender since Doug Hogue had 6.
