Coming into the 2018-19 season, the current roster for the Syracuse basketball team is full of experience. All five of the Orange’s starters from last season are back for another attempt at a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.
Even with all the experience Syracuse currently has on their roster, they also have a few newcomers that could become valuable contributors this season. Freshmen guards Buddy Boeheim and Jalen Carey are two of these new players that are expected to play a part in the Orange’s quest for success in 2018-19.
Boeheim has already looked impressive during Syracuse’s two exhibition matchups this season, averaging 16 points and shooting 55 percent from the field, including 50 percent from beyond the three-point line.
