Syracuse.com's Stephen Bailey reports that former Syracuse Orange center Macky MacPherson will be returning to SU as a graduate assistant, pending admission as a student. MacPherson, grandson of long-time Orange coach Dick MacPherson, was a three-year starter at Syracuse from 2011-2013. During that time, the team won 20 games and two bowl games.
After failing to make it with the NFL's Buffalo Bills, MacPherson was a graduate assistant with Louisiana Tech last season, and was hired for the same role at NC State this year. However, he's always wanted to head back to SU.
