I don't like Native American mascots. To me, they're demeaning and just weird. FSU claims Osceola and Renegade aren't officially "mascots." For that, the Seminoles have introduced a fuzzy horse named Cimarron.
The Blue Devil is BUSY during Duke games. He rides a wave of students, who roll across the Cameron court. He leaps into the crowd and body surfs as eager hands hold him aloft. He sneers at opposing players. He wears a tape headband, on which he scribbles an inspirational message each game. He's a living, breathing cartoon character.
