Last year, graduate transfers had a huge impact on the ACC. No school benefited more than Syracuse, which had Andrew White and John Gillon.
White, a 6-7 small forward, transferred to Syracuse from Nebraska. He led the Orange in scoring at 18.5 points per game. It was the highest scoring average for a Syracuse player since Demetris Nichols scored 18.9 points per game in the 2006-07 season. White also broke the school record for most 3-pointers in a season, hitting 112 to break Gerry McNamara's old mark of 107.
Grad transfers are a growing trend. College coaches recognize the value in an experienced player.
