Atlanta -- In the final 20 minutes of basketball, in a gym where the home team has won most of it games this season, Syracuse shot 32 percent, allowed Georgia Tech to make 60 percent of its own shots and was outscored 42-33.

That crucial second half, notwithstanding Syracuse's stunning comeback in the game's final three minutes, crushed the Orange and made its path to the NCAA Tournament a bit steeper.

Syracuse led 32-29 at the half, but Georgia Tech constructed a 12-0 scoring spree that spanned the end of the first half and spilled into the second.
