Syracuse, N.Y. — Brandi Fowler has a lot of experience practicing college basketball, but until recently not so much actually playing it.
So when Syracuse University women's coach Quentin Hillsman gave the sophomore her college debut late in a blowout win over Coppin State on Dec. 7, Fowler didn't have the routine down quite right.
"When he first tapped me, I'm like, 'Sure. Like, me? Oh, alright,''' Fowler recalled Friday. "I hadn't had the experience of running to the table, so I kind of forgot to take my (warmup) shirt off. And then you hear them yelling, 'Yo, you've got to take your shirt off.
