Syracuse football has a three-to-one scheduling model, meaning one game every season is against an upper-tier Power Five conference team that is consistently a national contender, while the other three games are scheduled against weaker opponents.
SU is just required to play at least one power conference team every season for its four-game nonconference schedule.
The Orange’s first two nonconference games were against Rhode Island and Central Michigan. It’ll face No. 8 Louisiana State on Saturday.
